The concept for Crosswise grew from the devotion, imagination and experience of a Houston businessman and Presbyterian elder named Tom O’Neil.
A longtime human resource professional and the founder of three productive businesses, Tom coaches men and women with singular maturity, skill and insight, because he informs these personal attributes with an appreciation for Christ’s presence in each person.
A graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and former U.S. Navy officer, Tom laid the foundation for his coaching practice during tenure at Proctor and Gamble, Xerox Learning Systems and Geosource. He began consulting in 1982, first founding the firm of O’Neil & Associates, and then lending his expertise to the national firms of King, Chapman & Broussard and Spherion. Tom also founded Additech, a gasoline additive dispensing system.
Tom is a frequent participant in Presbyterian Cursillo programs and the leader of an in-home Bible Study now in its second decade. He and his wife, Susan, have been married for 43 years and share pride as parents of two and grandparents to four.
In his work as a Crosswise coach, Tom blends professional and personal commitments to help bridge the divide separating Christ and His people, and to create life-altering experiences in “the life of business and the business of life.”
